Robbie Robertson helped us rediscover the sound (and the lore) of Americana and roots music. And we thank him.

Although Robert Gordon never achieved stardom equal to his talent, he did have the magic touch choosing collaborators.

Showcasing American folk with a big dash of Celtic, Arabic and Hebrew, “The Thousand Incarnations of the Rose” puts the spotlight on folk guitarists John Fahey, Leo Kottke, Harry Taussig, and Robbie Basho.
