Magnolia Pictures is about to release their new documentary, One to One: John & Yoko, which covers a pivotal time in Lennon’s life. The focus is on the One to One charity concert, which would be John’s first (and last) solo show after leaving the Beatles.

We asked our Beatles experts, Scott Freiman and Ken Womack, to discuss the music performed at that show, much of which came from Sometime in New York City that had been released just a couple of months earlier.

It’s a complicated album, reflecting Lennon’s passion for activism. Some love it, some hate it.  Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
